All My Loving; Nou

For some reason, that seemed like a very nice title...
I just wanted to say I made some minor changes to the site so now it looks better :D and I added a new banner, which actually fits.
Yeaah, that's it really.
Oh well.
Love,
Nou

Sheena; Polaroids

So, Nou and I bought a polaroid camera, which we are very happy with. We made some pictures which we will post here now!

Me and Nou waiting at the bus station. I am the one with the red tights, she's the one in black.

Paris!

So the trip to Paris started off great. We (my family and I, so three people) left our house at fiveish to go to the airport which is an hour or so away. We got lost on our way there, the check-in time was 6:30, funny thing was it was already 6:10. Before we got to the airport we were caught by one of them cameras speeding. When we got to the airport we couldn't find a parking space, 5 min till check-in closes. We run from the car to the airport, now where too? Well we find the check-in counter at 6:28, close call but we made it. Now then we find the gate and board, it was a nice trip to Paris. We get off the plane and everything is still good, until we get our bags. There was nothing wrong with the bags them self's but we where stuck on the airport. We did not have any way of leavening, by this time it was already 11ish at night, there is no time difference. We get tickets for the train and get on the train. YAY! Ya right. We manage to get to the right street and walk, with the bags (two giant ones) to our hotel. I went to sleep at 12 ish, maybe 1.
Next morning
Get up at nine, get dressed and all that jazz and eat breakfast. We leave for the Eifel tower. There we meet some pick-pocket people and have a nice chat about a ring that we had apparently lost, nothing is stolen. After that encounter we head for the Louvre, yes all while walking. After seeing the Mona Lisa we went to the Arch de Triumph. Exiting.
Sunday
We went to the Notredame and some where else.
Monday
We went shopping with the bags that we had with us, we checked out of the hotel. I got a new pair of trousers and a shirt. Dad went to his meeting thing and my mommy and me went back to Notredame and did some more shopping there, got three scarves and souvenirs for Mary-Sue, Sheena and Nou. Then we got to the airport at 5. Then the plane was at the wrong gate and so they had to get the police to make sure no one did anything while we went through the place where normally only airport people are supposed to go. On the plane, a nice shaky flight back. And then on our way out of the park house the ticket doesn't want to work, after half and hour we leave the airport. We arrive home at 12 ish around 1 maybe.
And that was the exiting trip I, Tinker, had.

Tinker; First Post!

Howdi,
My name is Tinker.
Why 'Tinker'? I have no clue.
What do I like? Uhm well.... 'Them'... no you will not find out who.
What are my favourite things? Well uhm...err... music.... and fairies, that's about it, well and of course fantasy
(fantasy movies, fantasy books, etc.) And my mates.. and not just the ones that write on this 'thing' either, sorry Nou, Sheena, and Mary Sue, I have mates out side our 'circle of five'... *coughfourcough*
What else? Not really anything.... Not any thing I can think of at the moment.. Well I HATE horror movies ((heheeh horror movies)), I can't sleep if I see them... Yes, I get nightmares. I do very much like London ( well want to visit it any way). I REALLY want Winklepickers. I love those shoes.... I like eyeliner, hardly ever wear it though..... Oh and I have black hair. Other than that there is nothing really worth mentioning... not that anything I've said so far was but hey, I was suppose to empty my brain.
Without love, or anything else for that matter,
Tinker

Howrse; Mary Sue

(Note to howrse contest judges: This is a shared blog between me (username: Ishiibanora) and my friends. I have their permission to use our blog for this purpose. All names mentioned are invented for safety reasons)

Well, I've told my friends multiple times that I do indeed spend a lot of my free time playing horsey games. They think it's silly. But believe me, it's fun! Today, I'll introduce a horse breeding and showing SIM called Howrse. There's currently a blog competition running on there, so I figured I might as well give it a shot. I asked Tinker, Nou and Sheena for permission, of course.
Basically, you have your own little horse breeding farm. You start out with one foal, play with it, raise it, train it, take it for rides, enter competitions, and eventually breed it. Eventually, you start buying more horses to increase your breeding spot. It's confusing at first, but once you've gotten the hang of things, it's great!
I myself have specialized on Thoroughbred racehorses. A friend of mine gave me a double-greenstar (explained below) TB mare. Have a look at her, isn't she gawjus?
Soon, I started breeding her. Breeding is one of the main parts of howrse. Each horse has a specific Genetic Potential (GP) for each stat (Stamina, Speed, Dressage, Galloping, Jumping, Trotting) expressed as a numerical value. The higher, the better! DoubleExtreme (my TB mare) has a galloping GP of 110.08, which is quite incredibly high. Not as high as the top Thoroughbreds, which are somewhere in the 114s last time I checked, but still excellent. If a horse has a GP of more than 100 in a stat, it is awarded with a greenstar, if it has more than 110, it is awarded with a double greenstar.
Of course, there's more to breeding than just potential. The more you train a horse and enter it in competitions, the better it's offspring will be. This is measured in BLUP - the higher the BLUP, the better the foals. The maximum BLUP is 100, and this can only be reached if:
-All training is complete
-The horse has won at least 20 competitions
-At least 3 stats are 'bolded', i.e. as high as possible. This means that rides have also been completed.
It's quite a lot of work to get your horse to 100BLUP, but believe me, it's worth it!

Luckily, DoubleExtreme already had 100BLUP when I got her. So I started breeding her right away! I used stud offers put up by other quality Thoroughbred stallion owners. Some of her foals I'm most proud of are She Calls Me Tater and The Green Monkey. Cute, huh? The Green Monkey is going to be my main stud.

Of course, there's more than just Thoroughbreds! Here's some pictures of other breeds: (Clicky links)
Appaloosa (Foal)
Connemara Pony (Foal)
Hanoverian(Foal)

On top of the normal horses, there's also Pegasi and Unicorns. How amazing is that? Here's some piccos. (Click the links)
Arabian Unicorn Foal
Standardbred Unicorn
Australian Pony Pegasus

And to finish it off, some more general screenshots of the game: (Clicky links again)
Basic Log-In Page
Horse List/Barn
Mailbox (Yes, I actually talk to people. Astounding!)
Horse Auctions

And the best of all is, howrse is completely free to play! You can make an account without paying a cent. It is possible to purchase passes using real money, but it only gives you benefits, it isn't actually neccessary. So what are you waiting for? Why on earth are you still reading this? Go join www.howrse.com today! (And please refer to Ishiibanora as your referrer. Why not? I get something for it =P)

Sheena; Winklepickers!

Today everyone was out watching football, so I had the computer to myself for a few hours. I decided to go look at some shoes, winklepickers in particular, because I had heard of them and I thought they looked great.

Now I am completely in love with them! Here are some of my favourites:

Piccies!; Nou

Here are some pictures of us at the Art Exhibition. I know they are a bit weird, but we just did what the instructions told us! (except that last picture. That was a mistake)
If this was an art exhibition, are we Art now?

Sheena

I really admire Nick Cave and I think this is one of his best songs. Also, it is very amusing to watch.

What if God was one of us....; Nou

... I would freak out.
Anyway, thank you Sheena for the lovely drawings. Also, some picture your way come (Not Sheena's way, but the reader's way) of us at an art exhibition. It was an exhibition from Erwin Wurm. I think everyone has to decided for themselves whether they find his pictures "art" or simply weird. Here are some examples of his "art":

Bye,
Nou.

Sheena -> Nou

I hope Tinker gets on with it because I really don't have anything useful to say.

Music: Teenage Werewolf by The Cramps

Sheena -> Mary-Sue

Funny you should mention this, because it reminds me of a conversation we had today in school. This is how it went:

Sheena: Do you think that the way we dress is an instruction of how we want our boyfriends/girlfriends to dress? I mean, I would love a guy with purple tights and a short black dress (note the sarcasm).
Mary-Sue: Well, I don't care what I look like
Sheena: That's it isn't it? That means that you want someone who doesn't care what they look like.
Mary-Sue: No, I just wouldn't care what they looked like.
Sheena: That is what I am saying.
Mary-Sue: No.

Then it continued with me just saying stuff and Mary-Sue not paying attention.

I still think I had a point though.

Nicey Nicey Zoo Zoo...; Nou

Nice last post Mary, it made me laugh. I didn't notice you had written something.
Our other friend, whom I will call Tinker for the time being, can somehow not post anything or even log on here. However, a post from her may be coming soon (if she ever sends it to me).
Also, some drawings from Sheena may be on the way if Tinker scans them for her. They are really cool, I hope the scanning works!
Yes, I know that I was supposed to write about my favourite things, but I will another time. I can't really be bothered right now.
And, Mary, I know what will happen at University: We will die. We MUST improve our social skills. Wanna go somewhere this weekend? :P
We had our science and french tests today, which I think went alright.

Must dash!
Love,
Nou

Oh My Josh; Mary Sue

Oh Dear.
It's 24 minutes past midnight, and though it isn't abnormal for me to be awake at this time of the night, I am not usually up and about, not to mention on the computer.
I have just finished reading the first book of the Georgia Nicolson series, 'Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging' for what must be the third time. These books usually put me into a very happy, cheered-uppy mood, but oh no, not today.
Basically, my point is, my life is crud and I am in no position to help it.
Honestly. Yes, the four of us are an incredibly awesome circle of friends (if we aren't busy bickering about something pointless like who gets to go on the swings first, that is). But let's face it, you can't only talk to three people for your entire life. What will we do once we graduate? Float around, blubbering because we don't know how to treat humans.
I am very seriously, honestly craving some romance. To the extent of me wanting a boyfriend. Badly.
I will probably kick myself for writing this tomorrow, but I mean it - I am just about ready to date Bryan. Or Lutz. Or David.. Or even Basil for all I care!
That is how desperate this situation is.
Someone get me out of this lifeless hellhole, before it's too late.
Thank you.
Now I better sneak back into my cosy cuddly wuddly bed and give the being I have known for as long as I can remember, and who happens to be the one that knows most about me (i.e. my plush elephant Leo) a hug. Or twenty, for that matter.
Or maybe I'll go train my HorseIsle horses first...
Either way, see y'all around. Have fun living.

iLike... Food; Nou

Hello again.
I just wanted to make an entry about things that I like to eat.
So let's start!

1. Milkshakes

Yeah, I really like those. My favourite flavours are chocolate and strawberry. But, quite frankly, I'll probably drink any kind of milkshake. I know they technically don't count as food, but I don't care.

2. Chocolate

My Favourite kind of chocolate. Milka Caramel chocolate *melts*... Brilliant. Whoever invented it should get some sort of Nobel Prize.

3. Sushi

Sushi=Bliss. That's all I'll say.

Yeah.... I guess I could write more, but I am kinda tired... been a long day.
I will post more favourites soon though!
Love,

Nou

Turtles; Mary Sue

'You are a minuscule bottle of lube who likes to hold turtles'

Ah, what wisdom! What...accurateness! I got thiss off of a site (http://www.planetdan.net/pics/misc/youarea.htm) and decided to dedicate my blog entry to turtles.
They're wondrous creatures, really. Quite honestly, I am dead jealous of them. Whenever they're scared, or just don't like someone or something, they can withdraw inside that handy little shell which happens to surround their entire body. How nifty is that? I wish I had a shell. Really, I think I do. If something upsets me, i.e. makes me think about the patheticnosity of the world, I just meander around the school, looking at people enough to not seem strange, but not bothering to put one of those fake smiles on my face to make them happy.
Augh! Happy people! I'll talk about those another day.
The turtle's shells remind me of this book I read a while back, 'Bloomabilities'. Nice book, if you're interested. Basically, it was about this girl, and she always lived in her bubble (not literally, of course). When she wanted to talk to people she opened the pores in her bubble, but when she wanted to be alone, she closed the bubble and was all alone. Near the end of the book, she has a dream of skiing without the bubble, and she feels as happy as she's never done before. Nifty, eh? Just that I prefer not to open my shell, thanks.
Well, that's that from me!
---Mary Sue

By the way, Nou, care to share our standard font? You just changed it for me last time, but I wouldn't mind doing it myself.

Today Happened Quickly...; Nou

You know when you have days where everything seems to happen in a flash?
Well, today was one of those days.
First of all, we were supposed to have two quizzes today, one in English and one in Science. They were both postponed to Wednesday.
Then, some older students held a presentation about Grades 11+12, and how it is all very hard etc. I'm not that bothered really. It can't be THAT bad. I mean, everyone said 9th grade would be hard, which it isn't, because I managed to get really good grades in most subjects without really doing anything.
School seems pretty pointless from 6th grade on. You don't learn anything you will ever use from that point on. I mean, hello, rearranging formulae? When will I ever use that?
Never is the answer you are looking for.
Not much else to say, really.
Oh well.

Love,
Nou

Mood: Funny
Music: King Ink by The Birthday Party
There were some things I wanted to write, but it all just seems boring now, so I'll let the others talk about our day at school. I remember today was quite funny though, I just don't really remember what exactly.
Nou and Mary-Sue, could you refresh my mind? Wasn't there something about a really long presentation about something and we (or at least I) couldn't stay concentrated? And then Mary-Sue's water bottle exploded, which I found funny. Yeah something like that.

Mary Sue arrived as well!

Hello my lovelies
I figured I'd say hi as well. So um, hi!
You may now go ahead and ignore those other two freaks blabbering about their planty friends and listen to the more...sophisticated...of the bunch (i.e. me) talking.
Or maybe not, but listen to me anyways!
Rather than blabbering on about my life, I'll tell you about this rather horrid dream I had while sleeping over at (?)'s house.
Basically, I got in some kind of a car crash. I don't remember what exactly happened in the crash (though I later visioned it as a hot coal being dropped into a glass jar - don't ask) or how I was injured, but I ended up having to stay in hospital for 5 or 6 months/a year (the actual time changed. I don't know how, but at first I came home knowing that I'd been gone for 5/6 months, but afterwards I had been gone for a year. Dreams are weird like that).
When I got home, the only thing that had really changed was the relationship with my sister. In real life, we pretty much just ignore each other, but in the dream we were suddenly really close, she moved into my room (I have a bunk bed) and we talked a lot 'n stuff. I was pretty amazed about that when I woke up. I bet it has some secret philosophical meaning about me wanting to build up a connection with her. Sod off, Freud!
But the truly BIG shock came when I got to school. Nou and Sheena were suddenly way ahead of me! Not only the half year/year that was logical, but two/three years (this changed at some point during the year - at first, Nou was in 11th and Sheena in 12th grade, but later Nou was in 12th and Sheena had already graduated). The only class I could remember was a Science one (EW). We were up in the computer lab and it was pretty realistic, except for the fact that Nou, Sheena and I were sitting at a row of tables with computers where the teacher's desk used to be. We were working on some kind of a brochure using publisher, but really it was just me 'n my mates talking. Somehow it was as though I'd never been gone in the first place. You know how in dreams you remember things without them happening? Well I remembered that noone said anything to me concerning my absence. Also, for some reason, everyone was still in the same grade as me, even though I should be behind. Even Nou and Sheena were there in class with me, but we kept discussing the fact that they were WAY ahead gradewise.
So we were sitting there ignoring the teacher, Voldie, who was talking very softly in the background but I just ignored him and he didn't mind us chatting (wow). At first I asked Sheena how on earth they advanced so quickly, and she said that they basically just paid attention in class and did a lot of work at home (and that made them cover 3 grades in a year. Wow). Then I was feeling pretty down because they weren't in my grade level anymore. I remember saying to Nou that I was firmly planning on trying to skip 9th grade (which I have been semi-sorta-kinda-offered to do in real life) and get into 10th with her, but now that she was over in 11th/12th I was screwed.
And that was pretty much it...I woke up feeling crud but only remembered the dream hours later on the way home.
Who knows, I might actually introduce myself another time!
Toodleums, Love or whatever it's called,
Mary Sue

Another Day Over....; Nou

Not that much happened today.
I got up.
I didn't get dressed.
I played a computer game
I turned on my computer (freaky, huh?)
I watched a show
I played "Cattle and Sheep" with Sheena (basically, one person is The Cattle and gets a rope tied around their neck. The other person is The Sheep and guides The Cattle to the "Circus". Fucked up, I know)
I made Pizza
I created this blog
I wrote this.
Yeeeaaah...

Love,
Nou

Sheena

Hello, I am Sheena and I am part-owner of this blog, free to write my thoughts down as a kind of therapy.
Interests:
Things me and my mates do at school
Obsession with music (especially garage and electro)
Psychology of the mind and human being
And philosophy.
Basically, I'll just write whatever I can think of.

Personality:
I think I am a lot of a contradiction; one moment I will think one thing and be completely committed to it, and the next moment I will think the opposite. I act accordingly, which can confuse people.
What my friends and I have in common is our split personalities, but more about that later.

You may now enter my brain,

Sheena

Nou

Hi! My name is Nou, and this is my first post ever on this blog!
This blog is called Empty-your-brain because me and my friends (who you will hear from later) decided to empty our brains out into this blog!
So, my name is Nou, I live in a kinda shitty place, and I own an avocado plant called Mr. Friendly.
I have no pets, but would like a cute little dog.
I like swearing, talking to my friends, writing emails to my friends and generally annoying them.
Oh, and disco inferno dances with glowsticks.
Love,
Nou
